Eric Cornell: The How and Why of the World's Lowest Temperatures
VTU in Bangalore, India
View biographyLecture Background
On February 16, Nobel Physics Laureate Eric Cornell will discuss the fascinating phenomena that can be observed when atoms are cooled to temperatures close to absolute zero. Tracing the rich history of low-temperature physics and the key developments in laser cooling that made Bose-Einstein Condensation possible, the weird and wonderful world of the super-cold will emerge.
On February 17, Professor Cornell's colloquium will explore the question, “Which Does Nature Like Better – Lazy or Sloppy?”
Held at VTU in Bangalore (MSRIT campus), you can participate in the Lecture’s live webcast and view live coverage of the event on our social media channels.
